Naked
I wanted to sculpt what was not present, without using language to give it context. Clothing was painted with white latex and formed into piles on the ground, hanging, or tossed on a mirror in order to create a space surrounding my naked 'missing self;' the absence of the body in the space created. This is not a sculpture of what is physically tangible, instead a sculpture of the absent body left vulnerable and on display. Segregating only the mirror in an empty room and using photography to capture the implied 'absent body' also explores the figurative motives of the self.
